Holladay Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a busy nine doctor practice providing exemplary care and customer service in a team oriented environment. We are looking for an individual with strong customer service skills that is detail oriented and strong problem solving skills, is able to maintain a pleasant demeanor when the environment becomes busy.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Dental Cleaning
- Anesthesia Monitoring
- Vaccines
- Blood Draws and IV Catheter Placement
- Patient Care
- Patient TPR / History
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Injections (Subcutaneous)
- Team player
- Great customer service
- Pharmacy
- Laboratory work
- Radiography
Skills needed to achieve success in this role:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to effectively handle and control aggressive animals. (Fear Free certification preferred!)
- Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work in a veterinary clinic environment, including the use of euthanasia.
- Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
- Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
- Must have active listening, critical thinking, complex problem solving, time management, judgment and decision making skills.
- Candidate must be able to work during the hours of 7am-8pm.
Need to be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on your own.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.31 - $30.00 (DOE)
Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Saturday
- Ability to commute/relocate:
- Salt Lake City, UT 84117: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Education:
· High school Diploma or equivalent (Required)
· CVT or LVT preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (Required)
Work Location: In person
We are open Monday-Saturday 7am-8pm, shifts will fall within these hours. Drug testing required for all candidates who are offered a position with us.
